Does Platinum Electricians Maricopa do the electrical work?
No. We're a referral service. We connect you with licensed, independent electrical contractors, and your agreement, quote, warranty and payment are with the contractor you choose.
Is there a cost for the referral?
No. There is no charge to you for the referral. We're paid by the independent contractors in our network. You pay the contractor you hire directly for their work, at the price you agree with them.
Are the contractors licensed?
Yes. We connect you with licensed Arizona ROC electrical contractors (R-11 residential, C-11 commercial or CR-11 dual). Before work starts, confirm the contractor's license number yourself at roc.az.gov; it takes two minutes.
Can I do my own electrical work in Arizona?
Arizona's owner-builder exemption generally lets homeowners work on their own property, but permits and inspections still apply, and selling or renting the property soon after can change the rules. If in doubt, hire a licensed contractor.
Can a handyman do electrical work in Arizona?
Only small jobs under Arizona's handyman exemption: under $1,000 total (labor and materials) and no permit required, and the handyman must advertise as 'not a licensed contractor'. Anything bigger needs an ROC-licensed contractor.

Are you available 24/7?

Ask for their ROC license number and search it at roc.az.gov. Confirm it's active, matches the business name, covers electrical work, and check complaints.

New circuits, panel and service changes, EV chargers, generators and most remodel work need a permit. Inside city limits it comes from the City of Maricopa; in unincorporated areas, Pinal County.
Is there still a tax credit for EV chargers or panel upgrades?
